The Mission of the University Wits Repertory is to function as a literary catalyst for the development and presentation of a wide variety of theatrical productions, ranging from original theatre literature to classical works. University Wits intended aim is to empower people with theatre, especially those who would otherwise be unable to experience live theatre, due to economic, social, racial, or educational reasons. The University Wits Repertory strives to educate, foster new talent, and perpetuate the art form of theatre craft through the formation of the following: a theatre conservatory, an internship program, and a student outreach program.
